Jury rules for Cook County, COs in beating case |

A jury has ruled in favor of Cook County and several county jail corrections officers accused in a lawsuit of beating four inmates almost five years ago. The inmates claimed the officers used excessive force during a search for contraband in the maximum security wing of the jail. Attorneys for the county argued the prisoners exaggerated their injuries as part of a scheme to make money. |
