An inmate of the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center has died of a medical condition at Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, police said. Austin Fuller, 31, of Metamora, had been lodged at the intervention and detention center since Nov. 4 for failing to identify as a sex offender. He came into the facility suffering from multiple medical issues, officials from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office said. Shortly after 6 a.m. Dec. 27, a fellow inmate called out to corrections deputies that Fuller was unresponsive and having difficulty breathing. Tri-Hospital EMS was immediately contacted. A unit responded and transported Fuller to Lake Huron Medical Center. Read More. |
