| Police charge jail inmate with murder in connection with September death of another man |

An inmate in the Forsyth County jail was charged Thursday in the September death of another man, authorities said. Shaquan Ralph Carter, 28, formerly of Camel Avenue in Winston-Salem, was charged with second-degree murder, an arrest warrant shows. Carter is accused of killing Darrell Ray Wolfe on Sept. 7, according to the warrant. Lt. Gregory Dorn of the Winston-Salem Police Department said Thursday night that a Forsyth County medical examiner recently determined that Wolfe died from the beating he sustained while being robbed on Sept. 7.
