Convicted East Bay killer, son of notorious child molester, dies in prison |

SACRAMENTO — A Bay Area native with the unfortunate fate of being the identically named son of a notorious California serial child predator died in prison Monday, according to the state Department of Corrections. Curtis Dean Anderson Jr., 32, died in California State Prison-Sacramento, where he was serving a 16-year prison sentence for killing Vance Fisher, 31, in 2005. The Sacramento county coroner’s office will investigate the death. Prison officials, in a written statement issued Tuesday, gave no indication about the cause of death. Fisher, a West Contra Costa native, was shot to death during a confrontation at a Richmond residence. Two others were named as suspects in his death, but never charged.
