| Inmate accused of battery inside jail |

JASPER — Authorities have accused a current inmate at the Dubois County Security Center of additional counts after an altercation inside the facility Thursday. The altercation involving Austin S. Zehr, 22, 2010 Lincoln Drive, Huntingburg, and another male inmate became physical at 10:32 p.m., according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department. As a result of the incident, Zehr has been preliminarily charged with Level 5 felony counts of battery and intimidation, a Level 6 felony count of strangulation and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.
