Inmate accused in attacks on prison guards dies at Oregon State Penitentiary |

A 24-year-old prison inmate died Tuesday at Oregon State Penitentiary. The Oregon Department of Corrections hasn’t released any details about how Shawn H. Hutchison died. The agency announced his death Thursday. Hutchison was sentenced to prison in June 2011 after being convicted in Marion County for third-degree assault and aggravated harassment. His earliest release date was in February 2035. Since being sentenced to prison, Hutchison has either been convicted of or accused in several attacks on corrections officers, Oregon court records show. Read More. |
