Okla. prison escapee recaptured |

Police have arrested an inmate who escaped the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in Oklahoma and later borrowed a cell phone in an effort to call relatives. Prison spokesman Bob Jameson said inmate Pedro Castillo Jr. was arrested Tuesday in Norman. Details of the arrest were not immediately available. Jameson said Castillo escaped between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Monday and made his way to a convenience store near Stuart where he borrowed a cell phone and made a call about to relatives about 10:15 p.m. Castillo is serving a 20-year sentence for embezzlement involving an automobile in Jackson County. |
