Daviess jail inmates dies after being transported to hospital |

An Daviess County Detention Center inmates died early Sunday of natural causes after being taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for help. George S. Hinton, 61, homeless, was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday. A medical examination performed Monday in Louisville found the death was from natural causes, Daviess County Coroner Jeff Jones said. Jailer Art Maglinger said an inmate informed deputy jailers that Hinton had fallen down in his cell Saturday afternoon. Maglinger said deputies began providing medical assistance and noted Hinton had an irregular heartbeat and low blood pressure. Read More. |
