Gov. Scott appoints deputy commissioner of Department of Corrections |

Montpelier, Vt. – Governor Phil Scott today announced the appointment of Judy Henkin as the next Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Corrections. Henkin, who will assume the role on February 19, takes over the position left vacant after then-Deputy Commissioner Mike Touchette was appointed commissioner of the Department of Corrections. Judy Henkin has a breadth of public service experience with a focus on health care and criminal justice reform. For the last three years, Henkin has served as general counsel for the Green Mountain Care Board, Vermont’s quasi-judicial regulatory board that is responsible for ensuring Vermont’s health care system provides quality, affordable care to all Vermonters. “Judy brings tremendous experience through a career of service to Vermont, and she will be a great asset to the Agency of Human Services,” said Governor Phil Scott. “I am very pleased to have her join our team.” Read More. |
