| Death of inmate under investigation in N.C. |

Davidson County (N.C.) detectives and the SBI are investigating the death of a female inmate at the Davidson County Detention Center. An officer found the inmate unresponsive on Wednesday afternoon. She was taken to Lexington Memorial Hospital where she later died. Her name has not been released. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. |
