Cuyahoga County Jail inmate found unconscious after apparent reaction to drugs, county says |

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Cuyahoga County Jail inmate was found unconscious Saturday after having an apparent reaction to drugs about six hours after he was booked into the jail. Alexander Foster, 30, was taken to MetroHealth in critical condition about 6 a.m. Saturday, county spokeswoman Mary Louise Madigan said. He remains at MetroHealth, Madigan said. A MetroHealth spokeswoman said she was unable to give an updated condition. Foster is on life support and in critical condition at the hospital as of Monday, his mother, Ida Foster said in an interview Monday. Madigan said Foster was booked into the county jail shortly after midnight after his arrest Friday evening on drug trafficking charges, court records say. He remained in the jail about six hours.
