Inmates post selfies from inside Westchester jail, correction department takes action |

VALHALLA – Two inmates at the Westchester County jail took selfies with their middle fingers extended and posted them to social media, The Journal News/lohud has learned. The photos were taken using a classroom computer whose camera and Internet access weren’t disabled before inmates got to use it, officials confirmed. The inmates were allowed by a "newly-retained teacher" to access social media and post photographs, in violation of jail and BOCES policies, according to a spokesman for the county Department of Correction. The teacher worked for Southern Westchester BOCES, which administers educational programs within the jail. Read More. |
