| KSP investigating inmate on inmate assault at Boyd jail |

The Kentucky State Police are investigating an assault on a Boyd County inmate that was purportedly carried out by other inmates. Jailer William Hensley said the attack is believed to have happened early Monday. Jail personnel learned an inmate on a hold at the jail out of Greenup County had been assaulted by other inmates. Authorities identified the victim of the assault as Dustin Lefebvre, 26. The man was taken to the hospital, then transferred to Huntington after his condition worsened.
