| Police bust prison drug ring |

Authorities in the Northeast Kingdom, Vt., have broken up a major drug smuggling ring, in which drugs were being smuggled into a prison. Police say 27-year-old Melissa Degreenia of Newport has been charged with transporting cocaine and prescription drugs to inmates at the St. Johnsbury Correctional Center. Five other people have been charged in the case, including three inmates at the prison. |
