Inmate charged with murder after killing fellow inmate, sheriff says |

CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. - An inmate is accused of killing another inmate inside the Cleveland County Detention Center Monday morning, according to the sheriff’s office. The sheriff said Kenneth Darby killed Jeffrey Dunn and has been charged with murder. Detention officers found Dunn inside his cell and started CPR, but paramedics pronounced him dead. Dunn was booked into jail Sunday on assault and trespassing charges while Darby was brought to the detention center Monday on drug charges. Read More. |
