| Work-release inmate escapes in north Alabama |

Alabama prison officials are asking the public for help finding an inmate who walked away from a job site in Athens this afternoon. Jeffrey Ryan Davis is described by authorities as 220 pounds and about 6 feet tall. The 47-year-old has brown hair and blue eyes, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections. Davis walked away from a work site in Athens just before 1 p.m., according to an ADOC news release. Davis was being housed at the North Alabama community based facility. He was serving a 180-month sentence for a theft conviction in Franklin County. Read More. |
