City weighs demolition of former prison closed last year |

MUSKEGON, MI – The city of Muskegon has plans to demolish a former prison complex that it is purchasing for $2.16 million. But some of the buildings on the 62-acre parcel that housed the former West Michigan Shoreline Correctional Facility could be salvaged if a potential new business tenant is interested in using them, according to a city official.
