| Officer beaten at Georgia State Prison |

An officer at the maximum security Georgia State Prison is recovering after being beaten by four inmates, state Department of Corrections officials said. Corrections Officer James Foskey, 44, was allegedly attacked Sunday night, Corrections Department spokeswoman Scheree Lipscomb said. Foskey was bruised and suffered broken ribs, Lipscomb said. His equipment, including keys and radio, were taken but later recovered. |
