Alabama Department of Corrections officers say an escaped inmate is back in custody. Authorities say Joel Spears escaped in Childersburg on Friday night. He was recaptured Sunday shortly before 2:30 am by the Talladega County Sheriff's Office. Spears was serving a 15-year sentence for a previous escape. Read More. |
