| VADOC Offender Walks Off Worksite In Burkeville |

RICHMOND – At approximately 10 a.m. this morning, a male offender in the custody of the Virginia Department of Corrections walked away from a greenhouse work unit at Nottoway Work Center in Burkeville, Virginia. The offender is Jason Michael Day, #1993401. Mr. Day is a 38-year old white male. He was convicted in Scott County of possession with intent to distribute. His expected release date was July 11, 2020. The Virginia DOC has activated its emergency response teams to apprehend the offender, working with state police and local law enforcement. Mr. Day is 5’7” and weighs approximately 175 pounds. He has multiple tattoos. If you see this individual, do not approach but instead call your local police or 911. Safety is our highest priority, and we are working rapidly to apprehend this individual. |
