Fugitive arrested after escaping transitional housing unit |

A man who never returned to a transitional housing unit in Concord is back in custody. On Tuesday, Scott Gagne, 29, had fled official custody from the New Hampshire State Prison for Men after failing to return to the North End Transitional Housing. Investigators from state police and the state Department of Corrections ultimately tracked Gagne to 168 Valley St. in Manchester. With assistance from Manchester police, Gagne was located hiding inside of the home and arrested at about 6 p.m. on Thursday. He was transported back to the state prison and held without bail.
