WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A woman who escaped police custody during a transfer has been located. According to the Williamsburg Police Department, the unnamed prisoner was taken into custody by Knoxville police. Officials posted to Facebook on Monday asking for the public’s help locating the inmate after she reportedly escaped near the I-75 visitor’s center just North of Jellico, Tenn., while being transferred from Georgia.
