Fall River Inmate's Ex-Wife Pleads Guilty to Drug Smuggling Scheme

BOSTON — A Fall River woman who was formerly married to an inmate in a Massachusetts prison has pleaded guilty to being part of a drug smuggling scheme.

The Massachusetts U.S. Attorney's Office says Lisa Guillemette, 42, of Fall River, pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Boston to one count of conspiracy to distribute Suboxone and Alprazolam. Guillemette will be sentenced on August 22.

In September 2018, Guillemette was charged along with her ex-husband, William Guillemette, 39, and Chad Connors, 42, both inmates at Massachusetts Correctional Institute - Cedar Junction in South Walpole. Guillemette's former mother-in-law, Margaret Guillemette, 58, also of Fall River, was charged as well.
