| Authorities investigating overnight death of Kaufman County inmate |

KAUFMAN, Texas — Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Texas Rangers are investigating the death of an inmate at the Kaufman County jail overnight. Authorities say that at approximately 3 AM Sunday morning, KCSO jail staff found a white, male inmate unresponsive in his cell. Jail staff reportedly began CPR and the inmate was transported to Texas Health Resources Hospital in Kaufman via ambulance, however, was later pronounced deceased. Read More. |
