SC inmate charged in connection to cellmate's death |

An inmate has been charged in the strangling death of his roommate inside a prison cell in Greenville County last month. William Edward Tillman, 54, is charged with murder in the death of Carl Andrew Pollen Jr., 46. Tillman is accused of striking Pollen multiple times on the head with his foot during a fight while strangling him with a bed sheet around 2 a.m. April 29, according to the state Department of Corrections Police Services. Pollen died about an hour later, according to a statement from Police Services. Read More. |
