Jennings jail inmate hospitalized after ingesting methamphetamine baggie |

VERNON — Indiana State Police detectives are investigating an incident in which a female Jennings County Jail inmate attempted to ingest methamphetamine, causing the need for hospitalization. State police began the investigation at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the request of the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, state police said. Angela K. Bennett, 43, Butlerville, had been arrested by a Jennings County sheriff’s deputy on a Bartholomew County warrant and she was taken to the Jennings County Jail to be processed, state police said. During the book-in process, Bennett is accused of removing a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine from her person and attempting to swallow it. Read More. |
