Men serving life sentences in Wayne County face new charges following TBI investigation |

WAYNE COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — Two separate investigations by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have netted the arrests of three inmates accused of committing more crimes while being incarcerated. Special agents started investigating the Oct. 2018 attack on a corrections officer at South Central Correctional Facility in Clifton at the request of 22nd District Attorney General Brent Cooper. TBI agents believe Robert Rudolph and Kevin Grandberry are responsible for the attack. On Jan. 4, the TBI joined the Tennessee Department of Correction in investigating the death of Tyrone Elliott Montgomery, an inmate at the South Central Correctional Facility.
