| Officials say escaped inmate was captured without incident in vacant home |

The Indiana Department of Corrections reports it arrested an escaped inmate shortly after midnight Thursday without incident inside a vacant home. Police in Michigan City originally announced the capture of Travis Hornett, but left the details for the DOC to release. The 39-year-old was tracked to a vacant home in Beverley Shores, Indiana that he “forcibly entered as part of his effort to evade capture.” Read More. |
