Inmate Who Attacked Colorado Sheriff's Deputy Sentenced |

DENVER -- A jail inmate who strangled a Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy has been sentenced to seven years in prison for the September 2018 attack. Matthew Douglas Farmen, 25, of Highlands Ranch, was sentenced Monday by Douglas County District Court Judge Jeffrey Holmes, according to a district attorney’s office news release. On May 6, Farmen pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree assault of a police officer while in custody, a Class 4 felony, according to the news release. Additional counts against Farmen were dropped as part of a plea agreement. Read More. |
