A 20-year-old man who was found unresponsive on Tuesday evening in his cell at Lehigh County Jail in Allentown and later died in the hospital committed suicide, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office reported Thursday morning. CPR was performed after Dawson Thomas was discovered at 7:54 p.m., but he was pronounced dead about a half hour later at St. Luke’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, authorities said Wednesday.
