MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) — The job that police K-9 officers do can be very dangerous work. One recent example is Jake, a K-9 who died Monday after being exposed to synthetic marijuana during a raid at Staton Correctional Facility in Elmore County. To understand how K-9’s are trained for duty, CBS 42 got the chance to go inside the Alabama Department of Corrections’ K-9 training facility.
