Torrington – Leland Duane Brown, a Wyoming inmate, died from long-term health issues on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska Brown was sentenced on September 23, 1986 by Laramie County District Court Judge Edward L. Grant. He was serving a life sentence for 1st Degree Murder and had been incarcerated at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution in Torrington, Wyoming. Brown was born on February 26, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa. As per departmental policy an autopsy has been ordered. |
