Mo. Corrections Staff to get pay raise starting in 2020 |

CHARLESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - Staff with the Missouri Department of Corrections will soon get a raise of up to 13 percent and it's all thanks to Governor Parson’s 2020 state budget. “With the new ones coming in I always try to be a mentor give them advice and try to lead them in the right direction to retain them," said Martha Powell, a corrections officer at Southeast Corrections Center. Powell has been with the SCC for 18 years. She trains new employees, who in spite of her experience get paid exactly what she does.
