A Morgan County corrections officer was assaulted by an inmate Thursday and spent the night at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Joe Eads was assaulted at the Morgan County Correctional Complex Thursday afternoon. He remains in stable condition, according to Tennessee Department of Corrections Spokesman Robert Reburn.
