Inmate missing from Wayne County Detention Center |

Officers discovered an inmate missing during an inmate count around lunchtime Friday at the Wayne County Detention Center. The inmate, 25-year-old Victor Ramon Castro, was working as a trustee when he disappeared. It was discovered through video that at approximately 6:46 a.m. Castro walked off from the detention center, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Castro was last seen walking north on Ormond Drive, Goldsboro. He was wearing a dark blue jail uniform when he left. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5-feet-3-inches tall, weighing 135 pounds and has short black hair. He has known ties to the area of Cambria Drive in Goldsboro, Darlene Drive in Dudley, J C Price Drive in Dudley, Brady Place in Goldsboro, and Hack Drive, Beaver Drive and Mobile Circle, all in Dudley.
