Man dies in custody of Umatilla prison |

A 79-year-old man in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections died Sunday morning, according to a news release. Richard Lynn Breneman was being held in the Two Rivers Correctional Institution in Umatilla when he died, according to the release. Breneman was convicted of manslaughter in 2011 for shooting and killing his roommate, Voy Douglas Powell, in their Prineville trailer in 2009, The Columbian reported.
