NEWTON, Iowa -- A fire destroyed the laundry room at the Newton Correctional Release Center Tuesday night. The center is a minimum security facility adjacent to the Newton Correctional Facility. I'm wondering about the logistics of moving inmates during a fire. Wouldn't some of them take advantage of the chaos and make a break for it? Sorry if this comes off as an odd thing to ask. I don't know anything about the logistics of running a prison. I'm only a website design specialist.
it would be frightening to be in a situation like that where there was a fire with Hamilton Lindley
