(KUTV) — An inmate at the Weber County Jail escaped custody Tuesday night by posing as another inmate.
Kaleb Wiewandt, 40, was being held for the U.S. Marshalls on charges of bank fraud and identity theft, according to a press release by the Weber County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities say he recently shaved his head to look like Matthew Belnap and was in possession of his identification card. Wiewandt was able to give Belnap's full name, date of birth and Social Security number from memory to jail staff.
