A Boundary County (Idaho) teen being held at the Bonner County Juvenile Detention Center was on the lam for about three hours early Monday after allegedly attacking an officer and running out the back door. Stephan Wayne Moore was apprehended without incident at about 4 a.m. as he walked north on U.S. Highway 95 toward Bonners Ferry. He is charged with felony battery on a law officer and misdemeanor escape. Moore's alleged co-conspirator, Clayton Shepard Peaster, faces an identical set of charges for taking part in the scheme. Moore, 16, and Peaster, 17, are now being held in the Region 1 Juvenile Detention Facility in Coeur d'Alene. Adjudicatory hearings, the juvenile court system's equivalent of a trial, are scheduled for July 26. |
