| Parchman inmate, 56, found dead; no signs of trauma, MDOC says |

An inmate serving life for killing his girlfriend in Brandon has died in prison. Robert Floyd McGuire, 56, was found unresponsive in his bunk at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman Monday morning, the Mississippi Department of Corrections said in a news release. He was taken to the prison hospital where he was pronounced dead. There were no obvious signs of trauma to his body, according to Heather Burton, the Sunflower County coroner. Read More. |
