| Inmate to get $70K in abuse settlement |

|
Four federal lawsuits brought by Grant County (Ohio) Detention Center inmates who claimed to have been assaulted behind bars have been settled. The settlement amount for three of the inmates was not disclosed. A fourth inmate, who said jailers kicked him repeatedly, breaking his ribs, will get $70,000. The Grant County Detention Center has faced numerous allegations of abuse and wrongdoing in the past two years. |
