Jail inmate stabbed
By KWCH
Published: 07/11/2005

A Sedgwick County (Kan.) jail inmate is taken to the hospital after being stabbed by another inmate.  It happened about 9 p.m. Tuesday night.  Major Bob Hinshaw says investigators are unsure of what caused the fight but authorities are currently interviewing other inmates.  Hinshaw says the weapon was a shiv, which is considered contraband inside the jail.  Hinshaw also confirms that BTK killer Dennis Rader was NOT involved in the
incident.  Rader is housed at the other end of the jail.  The names of the inmates involved have not been released.
