Two inmates missing from Ky Correctional Complex

Two inmates escaped from the Western Kentucky Correcitonal Complex and were being sought this weekend.
Prison and state police officials say 41-year-old Vernon Lee Parker Junior and 32-year-old Jay Lee Mersfelder disappeared this weekend after a head count at the prison.
Officials described Parker as having acne scars on the right and left sides of his face and tattoos on his right arm, left arm, right shoulder, a swastika on his right neck, lightning bolts on his left neck as well as tatoos on his forehead, hands and wrists.
Mersfelder is described as having tattoos on his chest, an iron cross with a skull on the back of his neck and a tattoo on right ankle.
Parker was serving a 47-year setnence for burglary, robbery and other charges. Mersfelder was serving a 17-year sentence for burglary, receiving stolen property and other charges.
