Three accused murderers break out of jail

According to information given to Hometown News by Beaumont, Texas, Police Officers during a live report, three inmates overpowered some prison officers in a private correctional holding facility in downtown Beaumont just before nine o'clock Sunday night using pepper spray and a shank. That private facility is operated by Correctional Services Corporation, according to KBTV archive reports.
Hometown News was first to bring you the news in a live cut-in that two black males and one white male escaped the facility. It is believed all three of those men were in jail for murder. One of those men was quickly captured near the Port of Beaumont after injuring his ankle. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
All three men were last seen wearing yellow jumpsuits. One of the two men who are left on the lose is 26-year-old Todd Christian, a white male believed to be armed with a shank, or a crude, homemade weapon. The mug-shot taken when Christian was booked into the facility shows him wearing a large goatee with a bald head. He also has many tattoos all over his body. He is about 5' 9" and weighs about 190 lbs. The police officer giving information over the airways said he may be a member of the Arian Brotherhood.
The other is 45-year-old David Jackson, who is only being described as a black male, 6' 5" tall, 190 - 210 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Jackson was being held in the facility for bank robbery and murder.
Both are believed to have very violent tendencies and have been accused of murdering fellow inmates. Police are urging residents in the area to use caution and be vigilant.
Agencies associated with the facility have been unable to provide adequate photos to the media as of 12 am Monday morning.
The Beaumont Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Port Arthur Police Department, the US Coast Guard, the US Marshall and Orange County Sheriff's Office is responding to this incident. Search dogs and a police helicopter have also been called in to assist in the search.
