Four inmates escaped from the Sequatchie County (Tenn.) Jail sometime early Thursday morning.
Officials said it happened between midnight and 3:26 a.m.
Deputy Clinton Walker said the prisoners managed to defeat a lock on the rear door of the housing unit. Once outside they used blankets to cover the wire on top of the fence and climbed out.
