One of two Kentucky inmates who escaped from prison is behind bars again, News 5 reported. Police found Vernon Parker Jr. at a motel in Richmond, Ken., Sunday. Parker and Jay Mersfelder escaped July 9 from the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex. Officials believe the two men stole a van and crashed through the gate at the facility. Days later, the van was found in a remote part of Kenton County. Mersfelder is still on the loose. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (513) 352-3040. |
