Authorities asked Houstonians to be on the lookout for two inmates who escaped from a Jackson County (Texas) jail, Local 2 reported Tuesday. Otis Santellana, 32, and Camilo Hernandez Matez, 44, escaped from the Jackson County Detention Center Friday at about 8:30 p.m. Jackson County authorities believe Beatrice Hernandez, 32, provided Santellana with the gun the inmates used against officers during their escape. Authorities believe the fugitives could be in a red or maroon Cadillac with Texas license plate number 316-CPH. Santellana was being held on indictments for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Matez had been sentenced to 40 years in prison for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and burglary of a building. Both men are considered armed and dangerous. Authorities said Hernandez is known to have contacts in Florida and California. |
