A state prison inmate is hospitalized after being stabbed and beaten in the latest violence at prisons in Oklahoma. Prison spokeswoman Lee Mann says the inmate as several wounds and injuries as a result of fight in an exercise yard at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester. Mann says she can't release the inmate's name or details of the fight because it's still under investigation, but she does say a home-made knife was found after the fight. Two inmates have been killed in separate fights at prisons in the state that officials say were race-related. Adam Lippert was stabbed to death March 22nd during a fight at the privately run Cimarron Correctional Facility in Cushing.
