| Inmate Disappears From Correctional Facility In Childersburg |

Authorities are searching for a convicted murderer who escaped from a correctional facility in Childersburg, Ala.. Inmate Frank Lynn Buchanan Jr. is serving a life sentence for the 1995 murder of his ex-wife. However, because he's within three years of his parole date, he's currently placed at a community work center. He's assigned to the Childersburg Fire Department. He was last seen around 5:45 p.m. last Tuesday. The fire department notified department of corrections officials that he would be working late. But at 6:03 p.m., he couldn't be located. Buchanan was convicted of strangling his ex-wife, putting her body in the back seat of his car and driving around for hours before calling authorities to confess. |
