A Bryan County (Texas) Jail inmate, 28-year-old Brandon Curnutte, lost control last Monday after hearing he could possibly be going back to prison. Delois Phillips, Bryan County jail administrator, said Curnutte was being arraigned for a probation violation last Monday and he began shouting obscenities at the judge. With legs in shackles and hands cuffed, he still managed to kick another inmate and beat his own head against a wooden railing before one of the jailers subdued him, Phillips said. "Once they returned him to the jail, they had to restrain him in a chair with straps. The chair is just like it sounds, a chair with a straight jacket attached," Phillips said. Additional charges are expected for the inmate. |
